Our School Garden.Under the guidance of Mrs Stone, our school have been working on our school garden since 2009. We started off wanting to do something with a waste space in our school.
Have a look at these before and after pictures to see just how much work we've done.

Celebrity VisitorsThis year we had visits from some famous Irish people. This year our school participated in the One Book One Community Project. Pupils and families from a number of schools around Bray all read the same book, Wilderness by Roddy Doyle. They studied it in class and discussed it at home. To celebrate the success of the Project, Davie Foley arranged for the author, Roddy Doyle, to visit the schools and answer questions about his books and his life as an author. It was a very interesting visit, enjoyed by all. We also had a visit from Diarmuid Gavin to officially open our school garden. As we had worked so hard it was very important to have a special garden opening ceremony. Diarmuid Gavin is the spokesman for the Myasthenia Gravis Ireland organsation. We held a non-uniform day to raise money for the organisation and they donated daffodil bulbs which we all planted. |
